I am an Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University department of Computer Science. I am PI of research lab WATS (Wang’s Awesome Team of Students). Prior to joining ODU, I worked as an applied science at Amazon and a research science at Criteo. I received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Illinois at Chicago.

My researcg interests lie primarily in machine learning, data mining, and data science. I am generally interested in solving challenges for social networks, e-commerce, online advertising, privacy protection using machine learning, statistics, and optimization with big data and heterogeneous information.
